ExpoElectronica, the largest in Russia and East Europe International Forum for the electronics industry, was held April 19 - 21at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow

ExpoElectronica is considered to be the main event of the Russian electronics industry as it gathers three shows and covers the industry base lines:

• ExpoElectronica - international trade fair for components, PCBs and electronic production
• ElectronTechExpo only trade fair in Russia for electronics manufacturing technology
• LEDTechExpo -  international trade fair for LED solutions, chips and production facilities

Such an event could not go unnoticed in the business circles. The electronics industry key persons welcomed the exhibitors and visitors.

Greeting the forum exhibitors and visitors the speakers underlined that the professional dialogue of the specialists was of great significance for the Russian electronics industry development, and international forum ExpoElectronica was a major debate venue reflecting deeply the market tendency.

Mr. Yu.Borisov, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, said “It is important that the forum allows both to demonstrate the potential of the Russian electronics and to discuss the whole range of issues concerning its progressing, engineering personnel training, the commodity promotion onto the home and foreign markets”.

Invariably, ExpoElectronica is held with the official support of the government and professional associations such as Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Russian Federation, Federal Fund for electronics development, State Duma Committee on science and high technology, Moscow City Government, Russian Electronics Ltd. Moreover, ExpoElectronica has been again recognized as a high-performance specialized project with the significant economic impact onto the city of Moscow. The show has been included into the first group of top-priority events of the Moscow City Government.

This year, more than 15 168 specialists from 62 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 39 countries visited the show. 99 % of them are professionals, and more than 63 % visit ExpoElectronica every year and consider it the main event of the Russian electronics industry. The 394 companies from 18 countries presented their commodity, technological solutions and equipment delivery offers. Participation of the leading foreign and Russian brands in the electronics industry was an ingredient of the forum success. This year, ExpoElectronica together with the leading Russian distributors and producers have introduced to the domestic and foreign specialists more than 1000 world famous brands.

Within the trade fair, the national stands of the countries leading in the electronics industry (Germany, China, Taiwan, Hong-Kong), the collective stand of the Radio Electronics Industry Department of Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation “Radioelectronic Complex of Russia”, as well as the Russian producers collective stand organised under the aegis of Russian Electronics, Ltd. were on display. 

For the first time within the electronics industry forum LEDTechExpo, an international trade fair of LED solutions, chips and production facilities, was held as an independent event. At the show there were introduced the leading Russian and foreign developments in the field of manufacturing and use of LED items, one of the most perspective and fast-growing lighting engineering directions.

Round table “LED manufacturing in Russia is a road map” generated the great interest. The event was organised by Primexpo and Noncommercial Partnership of the LED and systems manufacturers, with the support and participation of GK Rosnano which pay the very serious attention to the issues of the innovation technologies in Russia. Road map “Application of nano-technologies for LED manufacturing “ forms the main development trends of LED technologies for scientific research and future projects. This document is subject to the regular update which was discussed at the round table within the road map improvement offers. More than 150 directors and leading specialists of the largest Russian plants discussed the introduced road map and the LED industry development prospects.  The round table became the first event within the agreement about joint implementation, monitoring and actualization of the road map signed by ROSNANO and NP PSS.

In total, within the major forum of the electronics industry, more than 30 business events were held including training seminars, round tables and presentations of the Russian key producers, largest domestic distributors, branch associations and unions.

Organisation of an industry recruitment center has become very actual, and specialists had an opportunity to get information about the market vacancies, and the companies searching for new employees could consider the perspective candidates CVs, hold interviews and get the recruitment professional advice.
